Google Business Profile Management

Your Google Business Profile is the first thing most local customers see, before they ever reach your website.

We set it up, keep it accurate, and manage it to earn enquiries

The Basics

What is a Google Business Profile?

The free listing that shows your business on Google Search and Maps (formerly Google My Business). For most local businesses, it gets seen far more often than the website does, and it's usually the first impression a customer forms.

Name & Location Hours Photos Reviews Services Contact Options

Why It Matters

Why your profile decides who gets the call.

Google shows a short local list before any website links.

Most people pick straight from that list.

A complete, well-reviewed profile is what puts you in it.

Try it: Search your main service plus your city on your phone. Not in the top three map results? That's business going to someone else.

Underused

Profile features most businesses leave switched off.

A finished profile isn't just a name and hours. These features quietly do the selling, and most listings never use them.

Posts

Offers, updates, and news that keep the profile looking active.

Products & Services

Your full list, priced or described, right on the listing.

Q&A

Common questions answered before a customer has to ask.

Attributes

Details like "wheelchair accessible," "women-owned," or "free parking."

What We See Constantly

Common problems we fix.

Profile never verified, so you don't control what it says.

Wrong or outdated hours, address, or phone.

Wrong category, so you never appear for your main service.

No recent photos or posts, so the listing looks dead.

Reviews left unanswered, good and bad alike.

Google details that don't match your website or other listings.

Reviews

How we handle reviews.

Reviews are one of the strongest signals both customers and Google watch. Our approach is simple and within Google's rules.

A clear, easy way for happy customers to leave a review.

Every review answered — positive ones warmly, negative ones calmly and usefully.

No fake reviews, ever. They get detected, removed, and can suspend your profile.

One caution: a single well-handled negative review often builds more trust than a full five-star rating with no replies.

Our Process

How BMS manage your Google Business Profile.

01

Local Discovery

We learn your business, your service area, and the local searches your customers use to find businesses like yours.

02

Profile Audit

We audit your current profile against the businesses ranking above you — categories, completeness, reviews, and consistency with your website and other listings.

03

Local Strategy

We decide what will move you up the local list: the right categories, the gaps to fill, and the review and posting rhythm to build.

04

Setup & Activate

We claim, verify, and complete the profile, align your details across the web, and keep it active with posts, photos, and review replies.

05

Monthly Reporting

We send monthly numbers on views, calls, direction requests, and clicks, so you can see what the profile is actually earning.

06

Ongoing Tuning

We adjust categories, content, and review activity based on what's moving, and keep the profile consistent as your business changes.

FAQs

Common questions

Straight answers about setup, reviews, suspensions, and what actually moves your local ranking.

Is Google Business Profile the same as Google My Business?

Yes. Google renamed Google My Business to Google Business Profile in 2022.

Do I need a website to have a profile?

No, but they work best together. The profile brings visibility. A matching website gives customers somewhere to act and gives Google consistent information to trust.

How long before I see results?

Setup and fixes happen quickly. Ranking and enquiry improvements build over weeks as reviews, activity, and consistency accumulate.

Can you fix a suspended profile?

Often, yes. We handle reinstatement requests and correct whatever triggered the suspension, though Google makes the final call.

Can you remove or merge duplicate listings?

Usually. Duplicates confuse Google and split your reviews, so we merge or remove them where possible.

Do reviews really matter that much?

Yes. Review quantity, quality, and how you respond are among the clearest signals both customers and Google use to judge a local business.

Can you get rid of a bad review?

Only if it breaks Google's policies (spam, fake, off-topic). A genuine negative review can't be deleted, but a good reply often does more for trust than removal would.

Will you put my keywords in the business name to rank higher?

No. Stuffing keywords into your name violates Google's guidelines and risks suspension. We rank you the safe way, through categories, services, and prominence.

How is this different from managing my Google Business Profile myself?

You can do it yourself. Most businesses set it up once, leave it, and slowly fall behind competitors who stay active. We keep it consistently managed and measured.

Do you manage the reviews and messages, or just set things up?

Both, depending on your plan. We can set up and hand over, or fully manage reviews, posts, Q&A, and messages month to month.

What information do you need from me to start?

Access to (or ownership of) the profile, your correct business details, services, hours, and any photos you have. We handle the rest.

Can you manage profiles for multiple branches?

Yes. Multi-location management is where consistency matters most, and where most businesses slip up.

Does posting on the profile actually do anything?

It signals an active, maintained business and keeps you visible for offers and updates. It won't single-handedly rank you, but inactive profiles lose ground over time.

What happens if I stop the service?

The profile is yours, always. Everything we've built stays with you. It simply stops being actively managed and updated.
